Hey, my name is Joe Mally and I have been serving in Children’s Ministry most of my life. My wife Emilee and I live in Quincy, IL. Where I serve as the Children’s Ministry Pastor at LifePoint Church (Quincy, IL. June 2015- Current). Right now I am also working getting an MA in Christian Leadership from Dallas Theological Seminary. Recently I wrote a Christmas Activity Book and contributed to Inspired: Unlocking Your Creativity a KidMin Nation Book.
My goal for this site is to post about Kid’s Ministry and discuss what Biblical parenting looks like. I would love to talk about parenting, KidMin, leadership, or just about ministry in general so feel free to contact me. Also if you have anything you would like me to cover on my site let me know. Connect with me through any of the following means: Facebook, Instagram @joemally, Twitter @Joe_Mally, or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
More About Me:
I started serving in Children’s Ministry when I was a freshman in high school. This is when I first realized God was calling me towards doing this full time. This led me to become a camp counselor and intern during my senior year. After high school, I studied Children’s Ministry and Bible at Moody Bible Institute. While at Moody I served in many different leadership roles while on campus and volunteered at multiple different para-church organizations. Highlights being getting to serving as President of my class, working as a Sr. Student Ambassador, volunteering as the Operations Manager at the student radio station, and getting to serving as Conference Manager for the NEXT Children’s Ministry Conference.
My first job in Children’s Ministry was part-time at Park Community Church (Chicago, IL. Nov. 2014- April 2015). In that role, I served as the Loop Kids Admin and interim Early Childhood Coordinator. Also during that time, I had the opportunity to collaborate in the book “Bright Ideas For Children’s Ministry”. Upon graduating from Moody I left my position at Park. That is when I transitioned to my position at LifePoint (see above). Other than serving at my current church, since moving to Quincy I graduated from KidMin Academy and have guest written for multiple blogs.
